Rivals100 DE goes on the record

Rivals100 defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo just released his top five late in the week, although a couple of other schools are still vying to get into the mix.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound prospect from Centerville, Ohio, said that Stanford, Cal, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State are the schools at the front of his mind these days.

"I do still plan on visiting Michigan State and I'm going to get out to Illinois, too," he noted, signalling that those two Big Ten schools aren't out of the running.
Odenigbo recently visited three of his five favorites. He was at Northwestern and he took a west coast trip out to Stanford and Cal, his first time in that part of the country.
"It was my first time traveling to the west coast and it was very, very nice. The people in northern California are very friendly. Now I understand what people mean when they talk about the west coast. It's very laid back and the weather was extremely nice. I could see myself out there. Plus, I have a lot of family out there."
Odenigbo visited Notre Dame at the beginning of this year and he has been to Ohio State on multiple occasions. The coaching shakeup in Columbus has affected the Buckeyes' standing with him, however.
"At first it didn't really affect me because I thought it was just Coach Tressel looking out for his players and standing up for them," he said. "But now that there's a coaching change it does affect me. It will be a factor."
Odenigbo is ranked the No. 4 weakside defensive end and the No. 48 overall prospect nationally by Rivals.com.
