Rivals100 DB Tabor breaks down top 5

On April 27 some of the nation's best high school players descended on Deep Run High School in Richmond (Va.). Jalen Tabor made the trip from Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy and the Rivals100 defensive back showed why he is coveted by so many schools, earning honors as the top defensive player at the camp.
"I thought the was great," said the 6-foot, 181-pound Tabor. "I just wanted to get out there and show everyone why I should be the number one cornerback in the country and be a five star."

Right before the camp started, Tabor told Rivals.com National Analyst Mike Farrell that he has a top five of Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
"I just love the coaches down at Florida and the atmosphere," he said. "Everything is just set up for me to succeed down at the University of Florida.
"I just like everything about Alabama," Tabor said. "The football side is self-explanatory. They send guys to the league in the first round every year. They win national championships. There's nothing not to like about Alabama.
"I've been down to Tennessee so much that I'm so used to the school," he said. "I have a great comfort level with them.
"South Carolina is still up there," said Tabor. "They're in the SEC so they'll still have a shot. I really don't know too much about the program but they're winning. I plan on getting down there.
"At Vanderbilt, I really liked Coach Franklin's attitude towards football and life," he said. "He reminds me of my coach a lot. He's very real and isn't going to blow smoke. The education part and the fact that I could help turn that program around are a few of the other things I liked. I wouldn't have to stand in someone's shadow down there. I could get there and be the guy right away."
Anyone that has been following Tabor's recruitment knows that his feelings toward a school can change very quickly.
"I'm not shutting down everybody else," Tabor said. "I'm feeling good about all of these schools right now but those are just the five on top right now. Maryland, Michigan, Florida State and Clemson almost made the top five. Any of those other four schools could jump in there."
Tabor earned an invite to the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge at the Richmond Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour.
