Rivals100 DB Lewis Cine on UF, UGA officials, upcoming decision

The next four weeks are crunch time for Rivals100 safety Lewis Cine.

His final official visit will be to Florida on the weekend of October 6 and he’s planning to make his commitment shortly thereafter. Leading up to that, he’s expected to be at Texas this weekend for an unofficial visit, Michigan the next, and then Georgia for an official visit when the Bulldogs host Tennessee.

“I already told myself that I’m going to make my decision in October,” he said. “After the Florida official visit, I’ll make it then.”

Cine already took his official visits to Michigan, Penn State, and Texas over the summer. He was also in Athens at the end of July for an unofficial visit, but seems to have a more subdued attitude as he readies to make his final decisions ahead of his commitment.

“I’m just trying to get the full feel for the opportunity that everyone is given,” he said. “Also just enjoy the visits, that’s all.”

On Florida

“In my opinion, Florida has all the dogs on defense – everyone gets to the ball,” he said. “I think practice for them must be the hardest thing for them because they just have so much talent, speed and athleticism, so they’ve just been going after that ball.”

On Georgia

“They still keep the pedal down, recruiting me hard, talking with me on a daily basis,” he said. “I think Coach (Mel) Tucker, his scheme was great last weekend. South Carolina was not ready for what Georgia had on defense whatsoever. They weren’t prepared for it and I think Georgia executed great.”
