Rivals100 CB has four visits set

One of the nation’s elite cornerbacks has filled four of his five official visit dates.
Four-star Miami (Fla.) Northwestern defensive back Trevor Ford has added a Miami visit (Jan. 16) to a list that includes Iowa (Dec. 12), Kansas State (Dec. 19) and Florida State (Jan. 9).

“The fifth one is up in the air right now,” he said. “I don’t really have one team in mind for that.”
Rated the No. 6 player nationally at his position, Ford (6-1, 187, 4.4) also had previous offers from Ohio State, Alabama and Pittsburgh. In the last two weeks, he’s added two new ones.
“Oklahoma and Oregon State have offered now,” he said. “There’s been a whole lot of schools showing interest all the sudden.”
Asked if the Sooners and Beavers would have a chance to earn the final official visit, Ford said: “I’m not sure. They got in pretty late. But Oklahoma has a great team and all. I might have to think about that.”
Ford has been linked heavily with Florida State throughout his recruitment, but says he does not have a leader at this point.
“I’ve been doing some research on the internet, and there’s a lot of good things to like about the other schools,” he said. “I like Miami and their coaches a lot. I like their defensive style. I like the opportunity for me at Kansas State with their depth chart.”
Ford attended the Miami-Syracuse game on an unofficial visit this past weekend.
On the field, he’s helped lead Northwestern to an 11-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in Class 6A. He’s recorded 60 tackles, 11 pass break-ups and four interceptions.
