Rivals100 back picks up Florida offer

Pensacola (Fla.) Escambia running back Trent Richardson has made a rapid rise up the Rivals.com rankings over the past month. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound back debuted in the Rivals100 recently as the No. 57 overall player in the country. While his offer list is already impressive, he recently picked up a new offer to add to his resume.
"I talked to Florida and they said that they were offering," Richardson said.

Richardson who also received written confirmation from Florida State and Kentucky over the last two days is planning on taking a good hard look at the Gators.
"They're straight," he said. "I want to take a closer look at their offensive line and see who they've got coming back."
With the arrival of Emmanuel Moody to the Florida backfield, Richardson will also have a close eye on his performance.
"They've got that running back coming in from USC (Moody)," he said. "I'm going to see how he does this season in that offense. I didn't really get to see them play much last year."
Richardson is in the heart of his track and weight lifting season where he competes in the 100 and lifts the clean and jerk and power press. He has been consistently clocked in the 10.5 range in the 100 despite having yet to be challenged in a race. Richardson has also been steady performer in the weight room where he won his most recent power lifting competition.
