Rivals100 ATH up to four offers

Rivals100 athlete Tony Morgan out of Garner, N.C. continues to compile offers. The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder added two more scholarships recently to push his total to four.
"I've got four offers now from North Carolina, South Carolina, East Carolina and Clemson," he said. "I got the East Carolina and Clemson ones recently; Clemson's actually came in on Friday after I went to their junior day.

"Clemson is a really good school and they are up and coming. I see them doing some big things in the future and they are trying to get top prospects to help them win a lot of games. I like them a lot. I've been in touch with coach Rumph a little bit and they're sending a lot of mail to my house."
It's no secret that Morgan has been favoring South Carolina. Does the scholarship from the Tigers change anything?
"It has a little bit of an effect," he said. "South Carolina still is in the lead though. Clemson is a good school and it will make my decision that much harder."
What's standing out about the Gamecocks?
"Man, there's just something about them," he said. "The atmosphere, coaches and the fact one of my teammates is there plays into it. I always am reminded that I have a five-star teammate down there (Chris Culliver) and it would be great to play with him again. I see they are doing some really good things and I like coach Spurrier. He's upfront and honest with you and won't lie.
Recently Morgan took an unofficial visit to North Carolina on March 24th.
"I already like UNC, but going on the junior day made me like them even more," he stated. "The coaches are very nice to you and it is in-state and close to home. I talked to coach Browning and he's real interested in me and I bonded with him. I had a good time, although didn't meet with coach Butch Davis."
In the near future, the Tar Heel prospect plans to attend the Nike Camp in Athens on April 21st.
Although he's played running back most of his career, most colleges are looking at Morgan as a defensive back.
"I'd like to play cornerback and most colleges are looking at me there," he said. "After playing it last year, I like defense and I understand that there aren't that many 6-foot-1 corners like me. I'm pretty big and I'm trying to get myself to the next level and that's where I can get more time."
