Rivals100 ATH improves as a quarterback

Rivals100 athlete Anthony Summers has had perhaps the best year of any player at Olive Branch, Miss. according to head coach Jamie Mitchell. What has made the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder with 4.5-second speed stand out this year?
"He has done it both ways for us this year by throwing and running," Mitchell said. "He's a much better passer including throwing for three or four touchdowns just last Friday and three the week before. It's obvious he's really focused on that aspect of his game and is now so much more confident in it."

On the year, Summers has rushed for 813 yards and eight touchdowns. He's passed for 1,088 yards and 20 touchdowns on just 47 completions.
It's still open to debate what position the four-star prospect will play in college.
"It depends which school you talk to," Mitchell said. "A majority of the schools are saying athlete, but some want him for quarterback and others see him at cornerback, safety and wide receiver. I personally wouldn't count him out from playing quarterback as he has really improved his throwing."
Last weekend Summers joined teammate and fellow Rivals100 prospect Allen Walker on an unofficial visit to Alabama.
"I know he was really blown away by the environment there," he said. "It was electric and a huge game and he was amazed by the crowd and I know it was a neat experience for him.
"Right now Anthony is still wide open in recruiting. I don't think he feels strongly towards anyone. He just wants to take his visits and see where he'll fit in most."
Many of the same schools are recruiting Summers, his brother Markeith and Walker. Is there a chance that the three of them will head to the same school?
"I wouldn't be completely surprised if they did all go to the same school," he said. "I think each one of them in the end will do what is best for them though. We'll just have to see what happens."
