Rivals100 prospect Aaron Hansford didn’t have much hype early in the process but he became a priority for a handful of schools as his senior season progressed. On National Signing Day he announced his commitment to Texas A&M during a ceremony at Washington (D.C.) St. John’s College High.
“I fell that Texas A&M is the place for me because they treat me and my family as if we’re family,” said the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Hansford. “I have a good amount of family in Texas so I have a lot of connections there. Coach Mazzone and I have a great relationship, which has really helped in the recruiting process. I’ve been talking to him for two years.”
Future opponents and the big stage were a major draw for Hansford.
“It’s the SEC. It’s a great conference and they play against teams like LSU, Alabama and all those great schools. I feel like, to get to the next level you have to play with the best. That’s what I could do at Texas A&M.”
Hansford chose the Aggies over UCLA.
