Rivals100 2017 WR talks recruiting

When the first Rivals100 presented by Under Armour for the 2017 class was revealed on Monday, Naperville (Ill.) Neuqua Valley wide receiver Isaiah Robertson was one of three from the Land of Lincoln to make the list.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Robertson is coming off a sophomore season in which he caught 30 passes for 721 yards and five touchdowns. Illinois became the first school to offer him earlier this month.

"That was probably about a month ago that I got the offer from Illinois," Robertson said. "It was really a blessing, first of all, because it was my first offer and I didn't really expect it. It was really a good moment for me.
It is very early in his recruitment and Robertson has not made many college campus visits yet, but he did get a chance to attend an Illinois home game last fall. Another team he has visited is the Miami Hurricanes.
"I went down for a camp and the coaches showed me around the offices and toured the facilities," Robertson said. "I am going back down there for a camp invitation I got this summer. I have always liked the Miami Hurricanes and have always been watching them."
College mailings to current sophomore are limited by the NCAA, but Robertson mentioned he has also been hearing from Georgia, Purdue and Miami (Ohio).
"Right now, with it being so early, I really am just taking everything in right now," Robertson said. "There's not really a list or leader. I am just always keeping my options open."
Robertson is one of 18 class of 2017 wide receivers rated four or five stars in the initial Rivals100 that was released this week.
