OL Matthew Burrell Jr., Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor
vs. DE Byron Cowart, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood
---------
Why Burrell has an edge:
Burrell was one of the better late additions to the Underclassmen Challenge roster. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Burrell is coming off a minor injury and it will be very interesting to see how he has progressed since the Richmond RCS. A basketball player in the offseason, Burrell has great lateral quickness and coordination and also has a very big frame with plenty of room to add muscle. The telltale sign that Burrell has been perfecting his craft will be if he shows up in Dallas with a mean streak and refined technique. If he plays angry, few will be able to match up with him.

---------
Why Cowart has an edge:
Cowart is a gifted athlete who poses one-on-one problems for lesser tackles. He has a great size-to-speed ratio, allowing him get up field before most linemen get out of their stance. His long arms allow him to rip and get inside his opponent, enabling him to get to the quarterback at will. I like his first-step quickness along with his power bull-rush move. He can beat you with his superior speed or strength.
-- Kynon Codrington, Southeast recruiting analyst
---------
Overall edge:
Oddly enough at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Chicago, it was the offensive linemen who had the edge overall in the one-on-ones despite the advantage defensive linemen inherently have in these circumstances. However, while Burrell Jr. is long and has good feet, Cowart is excellent off the snap and uses many moves to cross up opponents. His speed and strength will give him the edge here, despite Burrell's talents. -- Mike Farrell, national recruiting analyst
