In a game that was jokingly dubbed as the "Nigel Warrior bowl" the

Rivals100 defensive back brought his highly-ranked Peachtree Ridge team to
Westlake High School to play his former team in a second round playoff matchup.
The game featured at least 15 future FBS football players and lived up to the
hype, with Westlake pulling a stunning 28-9 victory, led by 2017 Rivals250
linebacker/defensive end Jaden Hunter. Here's a rundown of the biggest
news and notes from the game.
I was impressed with...
Hunter will likely play outside linebacker at the next level, but he lines up at
defensive end for Westlake. Despite playing out of position, Hunter was a terror
coming off the edge and when the game was close late it was his pressure that
helped force a bad throw that lead to a game-sealing interception. Hunter is
already a highly sought after talent, but his versatility will only help his
stock. Alabama appears to be in the best position to land Hunter at this point,
with Florida State and Georgia also in the picture.
Colorado defensive back commit Ronnie Blackmon turned in an excellent
performance while playing on offense, defense and special teams for Westlake.
When matched up with five-star Deangelo Gibbs, Blackman held his own by being
physical at the line of scrimmage. He also had an interception and a receiving
touchdown. He said after the game his only planned official visit is to Boulder.
I was surprised by...
Class of 2017 prospect AJ Terrell is ranked as a three-star wide receiver, but
he did his most impressive work on Friday night as a defensive back. Terrell is
a legit 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds and he showed impressive technique as a
cornerback, recording one interception and saving a touchdown with a timely pass
deflection in the second half. He also had a receiving touchdown while playing
offense. Terrell already has an offer from Kentucky, but should have several
more once coaches get a look at his junior film.

Other notes...
It
wasn't the best night for 2017 five-star Gibbs, as he struggled to catch the
ball on offense and also was the primary man in coverage for one of Westlake's
touchdowns. Gibbs was playing wide receiver and cornerback, but he still
projects best to safety at the next level. He did have one touchdown grab in the
second half that was nullified by a penalty, but overall it was a tough game for
Gibbs and Peachtree Ridge.
Rivals100
defensive back Warrior played both ways and showed impressive speed while
playing running back and returning kickoffs. He was also active on a defense and
had a solid game, despite allowing a touchdown in the second half. Warrior has
played his recruitment close to the vest, but Alabama or Tennessee are believed
to be the most likely destinations for him. Following the game Warrior left for

has a pair of commits on Peachtree Ridge in running back Malik Staples and
defensive back Baylen Buchanan and both had their share of highlights. Buchanan
was Peachtree Ridge's most active defender, recording several stops and also
looking good in pass coverage. Staples had a touchdown and also played quite a
bit of linebacker.
Several
young prospects on both teams impressed, including 2017 Peachtree Ridge
linebacker Kam Jones and athlete Connor Heyward. Jones is a big-bodied
linebacker who made several big hits, and Heyward played a variety of roles on
offense. For Westlake, junior quarterback Malik Willis showed impressive
athleticism and good quickness and looks like he could be an option quarterback
or perhaps play another position in college.
