I WAS IMPRESSED WITH...

The No. 1 player in the 2017 class proved he deserves that ranking as much as anyone else in the country with an absolutely dominant performance. The five-star defensive tackle not only uses excellent power but tremendous speed to routinely beat offensive tackles in every situation. Physical linemen cannot deal with Wilson’s quick feet and his ability to get thin, so he can’t be blocked. Athletic linemen simply get run over by the Houston Episcopal standout. No one had any answers for Wilson on Saturday.

Little is a massive offensive tackle who has athleticism and light feet but also a tremendous amount of strength when defensive ends try to engage. If ends go to the outside, the four-star can move his feet, block their path and he uses his long arms well to impede their progress. Going to the inside never works because Little covers ground so well and he strikes defensive linemen to the point where he knocked a few good ones back on their heels.

Browning had an excellent day. He looked great in drills and then was simply awesome during one-on-ones where he covered up running backs and slot receivers all day, knocking away passes and picking off one ball that was one of the nicest plays all day. He had at least two picks on the day. For someone so big, Browning is a smooth runner, he can turn and run and then at the last second when the ball is coming, the four-star always is around to make the play.

Okudah is rated as the top safety in the class and he proved why on Saturday as he was phenomenal in coverage, poked away a bunch of passes and covered like a cornerback all day. The five-star is physical at the line of scrimmage, uses his hands to fight back and forth with receivers and then has tremendous athleticism to out-leap them to knock down passes. Okudah has great length, he’s more physical than this time last year and looked great.

I WAS SURPRISED BY...

Robison was at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour last summer and he’s rated No. 96 overall so his talent is not a surprise, but he’s much sharper than a year ago and his arm strength is outstanding. The four-star Oklahoma commit zipped the ball even with gusty wind conditions all over the field to receivers right on the money. Robison really proved to be one of the better quarterbacks in this class given his accuracy and the pace on his passes.

The four-star running back was a workhorse all day especially during one-on-one drills where he showed off maximum effort and jumped to the front of the line to make plays. Benjamin was diving for passes, going after everything and showing off great speed and hands. Ohio State commit J.K. Dobbins was faster in drills and was a candidate for running back MVP but Benjamin’s effort all day and his dominance in one-on-ones stood out more.

Eagles has excellent size at 6-foot-4 and more than 200 pounds but speed is not an issue at all since the 2018 receiver separated well from speedy defensive backs. He showed off excellent, strong hands to snatch the ball out of the air and he also adjusted well to balls that were carried off course by the wind. With his size, great hands, athleticism and speed, it would be shocking if offers don’t start coming in soon.
