SIMMONS' VIEW: ADARIUS MIMS

"I have not seen a lot of Brockermeyer, but with Mims, he is making a strong case to be that elite tackle in the 2021 class. What stands out about Mims as much as anything is his athleticism. He is a natural bender, he is light on his feet and the way he moves at over 300 pounds is very impressive. How he has grown as a player in the last six months stands out a lot too.

"He is from a small town in Georgia with not a lot of great competition around him, but he performed at a high level at multiple Rivals events this spring and summer against some of the best in the country. He is not only getting stronger and more comfortable at offensive tackle, but his confidence is growing as well.

"I have said it a few times already, but with his size and athleticism, I am starting to see a little of Laremy Tunsil in him. Tunsil is the best offensive tackle I have ever covered."

SPIEGELMAN'S VIEW: TOMMY BROCKERMEYER

"Brockermeyer might be the best offensive tackle in the country regardless of class. He’s 6-foot-6, 290 pounds with 36-inch arms and a nasty streak to him, which is a coveted trait from your offensive linemen. Brockermeyer, who comes from an NFL pedigree, is technically sound with excellent bend, great feet and a fantastic initial step. Perhaps the trait that stands out the most is that he’s a finisher both in the run game and in pass protection.

"There’s a reason Brockermeyer is already Rivals’ top-ranked offensive tackle and he has a chance to finish No. 1 in the country when it’s all said and done. Brockermeyer, of course, is a Texas legacy and the Longhorns are heavily in the mix for both him and his twin brother, James Brockermeyer, a center in the 2021 class. The two have also made visits to Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Notre Dame, but it’ll be hard to keep him away from Austin."
