Year in and year out, the Midwest produces some of the nation’s best signal-callers and this year’s group of quarterbacks is no exception. Rivals.com is proud to present the Midwest Top 25 quarterbacks, which is led by Indiana superstar Clayton Richard.
Richard is one of the rare talents in the nation this season. His 6-foot-5, 225-pound frame and rocket left arm makes him one of the nation’s best players, period.

What’s also impressive about Richard is that he has a 4.0 grade-point average, a 1340 SAT score and oh yeah, he’s thrown for more than 10,000 yards in his career.
Teams from all over the nation are lining up to get an official visit from Richard with the leaders of the pack being Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue and UCLA.
Not far behind Richard are two standouts from Pennsylvania.
Marcus Stone of Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt is ranked as the No. 3 quarterback in the Midwest.
Stone committed early in the recruiting process to N.C. State and should bring the Wolfpack a new dimension with his ability to hurt opponents with his arm and his legs.
“I was looking for a place where I felt comfortable with the coaches, that was close enough to home but not too close and had a great climate and atmosphere,” he said.
“I also looked at depth charts and the type of offense that was being run. N.C. State had the best of everything I wanted."
Ohio’s top quarterback is at No. 5 on the list. Brady Quinn of Dublin Coffman is heading to Notre Dame with the ability to be a really special prospect.
Brady is a fine athlete with good size. He passed for 2,200 yards during his junior season and connected for 21 touchdowns with 15 interceptions.
"I guess for me it was the combination of academics and athletics," Quinn told the Buckeye Sports Bulletin. "I don't know if anything gets any better. Coach (Tyrone) Willingham is a great person. He is definitely somebody I want to play for.
"Being on that campus, I just loved it and felt I would be comfortable there."
Also highlighting the top 25 list is two quarterbacks that are committed to Illinois – Brad Bower of Hinsdale (Ill.) Central and Dajuan Warren of Southfield, Mich. Bower is ranked as the region’s No. 9 quarterback and Warren is ranked at No. 11.
