Rivals.com breaks down the best of the best at each position with a look at the quarterbacks. Led by five-star Deshaun Watson, who excelled at the RCS Atlanta, here's the top group of gunslingers in order.
(Note: The following list does not necessarily reflect future changes in prospect rankings; it is based only on performances at regional Rivals Camp Series events. Many other factors and events will be taken into account before updated rankings are revealed the week of May 20. This list is for the class of 2014 only. Underclassmen will be listed separately. )
RIVALS CAMP SERIES TOP QUARTERBACKS
With a camp full of talent, especially at the defensive back position, Watson was tested during the RCS Atlanta stop. He more than held his own, showing good footwork and solid arm strength. After brief flirtations with GeorgiaClick 1. QB Deshaun Watson, Gainesville (Ga.) Here to view this Link. and Ohio StateClick 1. QB Deshaun Watson, Gainesville (Ga.) If he continues to improve, the Tigers could have the heir apparent to Tajh BoydClick 1. QB Deshaun Watson, Gainesville (Ga.) Here to view this Link..

Along with five-star running back Elijah HoodClick 2. QB Will Grier, Davidson (N.C.) Davidson Day Here to view this Link., Grier was clearly the cream of the crop in terms of overall prospects at the RCS Charlotte stop. Grier can flat-out spin it and also showed nice athleticism during position drills. Things are still solid with his commitment to FloridaClick 2. QB Will Grier, Davidson (N.C.) Davidson Day Here to view this Link., but Grier will keep a couple of schools in mind in case, as he said, "something crazy happens."

Allen was the top quarterback performer at the RCS stop in Phoenix, where he showcased a nearly perfect physique and an ability to adjust to all types of wide receivers. Looming questions about his arm-strength appear to be greatly exaggerated. Since showing well in Phoenix, he has landed offers from Ohio StateClick 3. QB Kyle Allen, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Barker was by far the most impressive quarterback at the Cincinnati stop of the RCS, displaying a nice combination of arm strength and accuracy along with surprising athleticism. Since that showing, Ohio StateClick 4. QB Drew Barker, Burlington (Kent.) Conner Here to view this Link. tried to jump back in the ring for Barker, but it looks like he's down to TennesseeClick 4. Wiegers is the only quarterback on this list to win the Offensive Skill MVP at a regional event, but checks in below the others a bit because the RCS in Chicago wasn't overloaded with skill talent. That doesn't take away from the fact that he's a big, strong passer with a very good arm, excellent downfield accuracy and RutgersClick 5. QB Tyler Wiegers, Detroit (Mich.) Country Day Here to view this Link. is getting a steal.

6. QB Brandon Harris, Bossier City (La.) Parkway

When Harris arrived at the RCS Dallas, he was beginning to pick up momentum on the recruiting front and since he has added offers from Texas A&M, North Carolina, Baylor, Ohio State, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and others, to name a few. At the camp, Harris showed a strong arm with accuracy and velocity on the short and intermediate routes as well as excellent ball placement on deeper throws.

At the RCS Pittsburgh, Cosentino showed why the Seminoles are so high on him. The most impressive things about the strong-armed quarterback were the touch and accuracy of his deep passes and his ability to shine on a rainy and cold day with a wet and heavy football. Many other schools have been going to Central Catholic to see him and while Cosentino said he is listening to them, he is still solidly committed to Florida StateClick 7. QB J.J. Cosentino, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic Here to view this Link..

From his performance at the RCS Los Angeles, Carta-Samuels showed why VanderbiltClick 8. QB K.J. Carta-Samuels, San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine Prep Here to view this Link. fans can get excited about him. While he started off slowly, his combination of size and arm strength clearly stood out and he improved as the camp got more intense.

Durkin has already made his decision to play football for Michigan StateClick 9. QB Chris Durkin, Youngstown (Ohio) Ursuline Here to view this Link., but he continues to pursue his development and braved the rainy conditions to put together a strong showing at the Pittsburgh RCS. The 6-foot-4, 216-pound passer is still developing his accuracy, but the ball is coming off his hand better than what we saw last fall and he received high praise for his footwork.

Dawkins has great size and adequate arm strength but has struggled when he can't move around like he does in high school. However, at the RCS Phoenix he had one of his better performances and put the ball in some tight spots. N.C. StateClick 10. QB Brandon Dawkins, Westlake Village (Calif.) Doxtator surprised with his build and his arm-strength at the camp stop in Phoenix. A big, mechanically sound passer, Doxtator could certainly help a Division I school. He's still searching for his first BCS offer but has drawn interest from WisconsinClick 11. QB Drew Doxtator, Henderson (Nev.) Foothill Here to view this Link. in recent weeks.
