It’s been more than three months since Texas A&M made one of the boldest moves in recent coaching history, backing up the Brinks truck to hire head coach Jimbo Fisher away from Florida State. Since his hire, Fisher did a nice job of finishing up the Aggies' 2018 recruiting class, and he and his staff have now shifted their focus to the 2019 class. Over the past two weekends at the Houston and Dallas stops of the Rivals Camp Series presented by adidas, we caught up with recruits to get their opinion of Fisher so far, as well as their expectations for the 2018 season.

“He did well at Florida State when he was there and they hired him at A&M and I feel like he’s going to get the job done.”

*****

“He really knows what he’s doing. He can turn that program around, into a top-five program, in no time. He’s the man with the plan and he knows what he’s doing. As long as you follow his plan, you’ll be in good hands.”

*****

“I kinda heard rumors it was going to happen before it happened. I figured he wanted to leave Florida and come here because Texas football is the best and he wanted to see what that was like.”

“I went down there for their Super Bowl party and talked with Jimbo. He had re-offered me there. I think he’s a good coach and a nice friendly guy. He’s led every team he’s been at to a championship, so I’m just waiting to see what he’s going to do at A&M to turn the program around.”
