HOUSTON -- Mount Pleasant (Texas) receiver KD Cannon has been
one of the hottest prospects in the 2014 class with offers coming in from across
the country. The pile has been building since the end of his sophomore football
season and he has been busy on the road visiting college campuses this spring.
not naming favorites at this time and does not plan on making a commitment in
the near future. What he does know is that he is looking for a place with solid
academics and a strong recent history of producing successful receivers.
Cannon says to look for his decision to come after his senior season. In the
meantime, he does have plans to take some summer visits to a few college

later this summer.
Much like Cannon, Lewisville (Texas) Hebron defensive back Jamal Adams
is in not rushing the recruiting process.
Offers have already come in from across the country, and at this point in the
process, Adams is planning to make a decision after the season, whether it is at an
All-American game or at his home. Of course he has not ruled out the possibility
of an early commitment if the feeling is right.
While he does not have plans on making a decision right away, there are a few schools who
have piqued Adams' interest. That list includes
This past summer, Adams attended Baylor's junior day, but he has visited
Texas, TCU and Oklahoma in the past. He is trying to take a visit to
Texas A&M next week. This upcoming summer, he does plan to take some visits to schools
Following a strong performance at the Rivals Camp Series in Dallas, Adams received
an invitation to the Rivals.com Five-Star Challenge.
On the defensive front, a couple of big time prospects are also taking their time
with the process.
Rivals100 Oklahoma City (Okla.) Douglass defensive end Deondre Clark
Florida and Texas A&M.
Clark is not naming favorites right now, but he likes SEC defenses and is looking for
early playing time in his school of choice.
In Arkansas, Springdale (Ark.) Har-Ber defensive tackle Josh Frazier
and Texas A&M recently.
He is eyeing all the schools who have extended offers and
plans to take official visits to Texas A&M, USC and Alabama this fall. He has
already taken unofficial visits to Arkansas and Alabama.
To visit or not to visit?
The Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints duo of offensive lineman
Texas, have had rumors of potential visits swirling around them as of late. However, the duo downplayed everything Sunday at the Rivals Camp Series in Dallas.
Gresham's rumors began following an offer from Alabama. The running back was of
course flattered by the offer, but on Sunday, he was clear about his intention to
not visit Alabama.
For Knox, the talk surrounded
Ohio State. The Buckeyes have been in the
picture from the beginning and are a childhood favorite. Knox did say he planned
to visit Ohio State, but downplayed the significance of the visit while
reaffirming he was indeed very committed to Texas.
Rivals250 LB to
decide before the season
Rivals250 Broken Arrow (Okla.) linebacker Gyasi Akem does have some
decision plans, stating he planned to make a decision before his senior season.
He has already had a chance to evaluate his options from the football standpoint
and is now looking closely at atmosphere and academics.
Next up for Akem is a trip to Baylor for the Bears' April 6 spring game. He admitted, that at this point, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Tennessee have
caught his attention from a football standpoint.
