Rivals 100 CB Focused

Jacksonville (Fla.) Andrew Jackson cornerback Leon Washington does it all in high school. And while many teams are clamoring for him to set up his official visits, he’s focused on his senior season at this point.
“It’s been hard, but I’m trying to concentrate on having a great senior year,” said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete, rated as the top cornerback in the country and a member of the Rivals 100 team. “I’m getting a ton of calls.”

Washington has over 40 offers, but has his list narrowed down quite a bit.
“I know I’ll visit Florida and Florida State,” he said. “Michigan State, South Carolina, Oklahoma are also high on my list followed by LSU and Georgia Tech.”
Washington has played three games and registered some amazing numbers. He has 517 yards rushing, two punt returns for a touchdown, one interception, 18 tackles, one touchdown pass, a 38 yard-per-punt average and nine touchdowns overall.
“I’ll worry about visits and all that later,” he said. “I want to just keep my team winning.”
Andrew Jackson High School is 3-0 so far this season. Washington doesn’t list a favorite between Florida and FSU.
