Rising junior RB names school favorite

When it comes to running back prospects from the Sunshine State, one of the very best, regardless of year, is Matt Jones. This Seffner Armwood star is a member of the class of 2012. At 6-3 and 217 pounds, is powerful and explosive.
"I know there are a lot of people out there that say I won't be a running back in college because of my size," Jones said. "They think I will end up a linebacker or defensive end. But I know I will just be one of those bigger backs, like Eddie George or Brandon Jacobs. For my size I have good speed and I surprise people with my footwork and quickness. But of course, my strength is my strength. I run with a lot of power."

Jones already has three early verbal scholarships. One of those teams is his early leader.
"Florida, Georgia and South Carolina have offered me so far. I know it really doesn't count until September but they have. Right now Georgia is my favorite. I love how they feed their running back. I love Knowshon Moreno. I hear good things about Georgia. I know Orson (Charles) and Aaron (Murray) a little. I really would like to go see them this summer."
What will be key factors in the Jones decision? He does have some time to think about it.
"First it's academics. Then it's the coaches. Of course I want to play and contribute early. I know it's a long ways away but I am thinking about it."
