Risers, fallers of new Rivals rankings
NEW RIVALS100 RANKING: 2013 updated
There is always great anticipation with the release of our Rivals100 and Rivals250, and with our first re-ranking since February, this week's release is already creating quite a bit of buzz.

So as a Memorial Day teaser, Rivals.com national analyst Mike Farrell gives you a sneak peek of some of the prospects rising and falling this week, led by Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton defensive end Carl Lawson.
So here is just a small sample of a few notable risers and fallers, listed alphabetically, that will be revealed this week by Rivals.com.

Hermitage - No one in the country looks better on the hoof at running back than Green and he showed he has improved his ability to be an every down back in college. Milton - Lawson dominated every camp he attended, additional game film has emerged and the biggest question remains - will he be a five-star?Here to view this Link., Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian Academy - A huge linebacker who can play outside or inside, moves well laterally and is excellent in coverage? That's a rare talent and it's what we've seen from Mitchell since our first ranking. Here to view this Link., Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside - What happens when you attend every camp possible, win positional MVP at nearly all of them and show some of the best feet in the class of 2013? Since then we have reviewed much more film and seen him in person, and his quickness and athleticism are high end. Here to view this Link., Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab - Williams emerged late in our first ranking and after much more research and film work, he was clearly undervalued in February.

Westlake - After seeing most of the elite cornerbacks on the West Coast and across the country, it became clear that Hunt was just too high in comparison. Still a very good player, but not as elite as we originally thought. Here to view this Link., Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central - Sometimes you can be a very good prospect and be very athletic but size can hold you back from a lofty ranking. With so many big receivers out there these days, this came down to being 5-foot-8, tops.
