Riley getting looks from the SEC

Harvey (La.) West Jefferson tight end Draper Riley is a big body at the position in high school at 6-foot-4, 245 pounds. However, the junior is quite and effective pass catcher and has drawn interest from colleges because of it.
"I don't have any offers yet," Riley said, "but I get a lot of letters from a lot of schools. No one has offered me just yet though.

"I'm getting stuff from schools like LSU, Alabama and ULM but they're just letters they're sending to my house right now."
Riley recently had a chance take in his first junior day and enjoyed what he saw.
"I've been invited to a few junior days," he said. "I was invited to LSU's junior day as well as Mississippi State and ULM. I went to LSU but I couldn't make it to the other two.
"I liked LSU a lot. I loved the atmosphere. I've wanted to go to LSU since I was young and they showed us around the school and everything. It's a good school where you will get a good education. They said a lot of people on the football team usually graduate with a good degree."
If the Tigers do not offers, Riley would at least like a chance to play in the same conference.
"Other than LSU, I'm hoping to get an offer from Alabama, Mississippi State or Ole Miss," he said. "I really like the SEC. I'd love to go to any school in the SEC."
Though being recruited as a tight end at the moment there is a chance Riley makes a big impression on the other side of the ball this spring.
"Schools are recruiting me on offense as a tight end," he said, "but I will be playing defensive end this coming year. I would definitely be open to playing that as well. I love both positions but we just didn't really have a chance to get me on the defensive side of the ball this year."
