There was a chance D.J. Riggins would visit Colorado this weekend, but that trip is off. Another one could be on for the three-star from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian.
"I was supposed to go to Colorado and they were really talking to me about coming down for a visit but then it ended up not happening," Riggins said.
"I've been in contact with Fresno State. One of my friends is Michael Lazarus and he was telling me one of their coaches is really interested and I'm going to give them a call and see if we can work something out.
"I know they've been interested for a while. I've just never been in serious contact with them. I could be top on their board and see if something could happen."
Riggins has been committed to Hawaii for months, but remains open to other programs days before National Signing Day.
The 6-foot, 190-pound three-star back was supposed to talk with the Fresno State coaches on Thursday night to see if something could be worked out. Yes or no, other schools are also involved and Riggins wants to consider every school.
"I want to go to the place that needs me the most," Riggins said. "Right now, I feel Hawaii needs me the most because they've been the people that have really been on me.
"If Fresno State offered I'd have to talk to the coaches and see where I stand with them. Fresno State had the better year and they're the only Mountain West team in the show."
The Oaks Christian standout said Utah, Utah State, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington are also showing late interest.
