Ridgeway decision not far off

Mansfield (Texas) defensive end Hassan Ridgeway has seen his stock soar as of late. The converted tight end picked up his first two offers from Texas A&M and TCU last week and took in a junior day at another in-state school this past weekend.
The 6-foot-3, 236-pound Ridgeway made his way to Austin to visit the University of Texas. With most prospects in attendance picking up offers from the Longhorns, Mansfield head coach Jeff Hulme says his player was no different.

"Yes he has," Hulme said on Sunday afternoon about Ridgeway receiving an offer from Texas. "I talked to the coaches (at Texas)."
The talented defender says he enjoyed the trip.
"It was good," Ridgeway said. "I liked the campus and the coaches there. They showed us around the campus and the facilities - the weightroom, the stadium and all that. We also got to talk to a couple of the players. It was all real nice."
Ridgeway has now attended junior days at Texas and Texas A&M and plans to make a couple more trips in the near future. That includes a likely return visit to College Station.
"I should be taking some visits," he said. "A couple of them I had to take out. I'm probably going to go to maybe two others. I'll probably visit Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. The A&M one is this weekend, I believe. I haven't been to TCU yet. I'm supposed to go there too."
Ridgeway is hoping to make a commitment in the near future as well.
"I was supposed to make a decision by the end of this month," he said. "That was what my plan was. I'm still trying to do that. I want to commit by the end of this month. I just want to make sure I have all the information."
As far as a leader, the standout junior says he does not have one at this point.
"No, not really," Ridgeway said as to having a favorite. "It's all pretty even right now. I really liked both places I've been."
