Ricks OG getting impressive looks

Yet another Ricks junior college offensive lineman appears headed to the Division I ranks.
Cade McMullen, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive guard at Ricks, has been talking regularly to coaches from Auburn, Colorado, South Carolina, Houston and Central Florida.

He has scheduled an official visit to Auburn for the weekend of Nov. 17. That’s the same weekend as the annual Iron Bowl match-up between the Tigers and the Crimson Tide of Alabama.
“That should be a big game,” McMullen said. “Auburn’s losing three offensive linemen this year, so I really want to see what they’re all about and coach (Hugh) Nall says there’s no better game to watch than that one.”
McMullen says Dave Roberts, an assistant at South Carolina, has also talked to him about making an official visit to the Gamecock campus.
McMullen, a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, was graduated from Thornton (Colo.) Horizon high school in 1997. He then served on a mission in Panama for two years.
The mission helped him to not only mature mentally but also physically.
“A lot of freshmen come in here and they’re big guys, but they can be soft. I think with an older guy like me, you get someone who’s physically ready to make things happen.”
McMullen is winter-term graduate and will sign scholarship papers in December.
