Ricketts pulls in offer No. 2

Holland (Mich.) inside linebacker Nathan Ricketts has been generating interest from college coaches since before his junior season, and the offers are now starting to roll in for the 6-3, 215-pound prospect. His added a second school to his offer list on Saturday.
"Central Michigan offered yesterday," Ricketts reported. "A week or two before, Coach [Kyle] Nystrom emailed me and told me they wanted me to come up as soon as I can because Coach [Dan] Enos wanted to talk with me. Yesterday ended up being the best day we could go.

"We went and watched practice, and during practice Coach Enos came up to me and my dad, told me they had an offer for me and would love to have me up there."
The offer from Central Michigan follows an early offer from the Chippewa's rival - Western Michigan. Ricketts had already begun to develop a favorable impression of Central Michigan before they offered.
"I've known Coach Enos for awhile now - since he was at [Michigan] State," Ricketts said. "I've been camping at State for awhile now and going to camps at Central for awhile now too, so it is a familiar place for me and a familiar coach."
Schools across the country are sending mail, but the team showing the strongest interest at this stage are in-state. Ricketts made a visit to Michigan State on Friday and is starting to receive positive vibes from the Spartans.
"That went well and I talked to coaches [Mike]Tressel, [Dan] Roushar and [Pat] Narduzzi for a little bit," Ricketts said. "I also caught up for a little bit with Coach Dantonio for a little bit and they want me to come back when they are in full pads, but I probably won't be able to come back until the spring game."
Ricketts is headed south with his family for a spring break vacation, and a break from the recruiting process. He plans to jump right back into campus visits upon his return, however.
"We're going to try to go over to Michigan to watch them practice if we can make it," Ricketts said. "We might go over to Eastern [Michigan]. That's all I know for sure right now."
