Richmond WR names two favorites

Recently Richmond (Va.) Varina wide receiver Donte Boston headed up to Penn State for their Nike Camp. The 6-foot-1, 181-pounder felt he had a solid experience there and even got to play with Rivals100 quarterback Tyrod Taylor for a bit.
"It was a really good day," he said. "I thought I did well in all the events and I got a lot of compliments. I think I showed the coaches there that I am as fast as they think, I run good routes and I have the ability to go get the ball.

"A couple plays I recall from the event were when Tyrod Taylor and I were matched up. It was an awesome experience and he threw me a great deep ball and slant pass that were right on target."
Despite a solid performance at the combine, Boston still claims just one offer from Ball State.
"There are a lot of other schools that say they want to offer or potentially will soon including Maryland and Connecticut, but no one has come through yet," he said. "Both Connecticut and Maryland's coaches have said that they are taking recruiting slow and think they will offer in time."
Boston still has a few schools that are standing out as his early leaders.
"My favorites would be Michigan and Maryland," he said. "I kind of grew up a big Michigan fan. They always seem to have a good program and I'm looking to major in architecture. I have been getting some mail from Michigan. I'm also impressed with Maryland's program and the coaches there are very nice. I like coach Friedgen especially. They also have an architecture program that is good."
The Commonwealth prospect plans to attend two camps at West Virginia this summer including a one day and a team camp.
Boston earned all-district, all-region and all-metro honors after hauling in 26 receptions for 526 yards and seven touchdowns.
