Richardson OT finding his spot

His name is Jordan Hearvey of Richardson, Texas, and he’s one of the biggest – and we mean biggest – sleepers in the state of Texas. After playing tight end last year, the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder is making the switch to offensive tackles, where he’s probably going to end up playing in college.
“I’m doing all right,” Hearvey said.

“They’re telling me that I’ll still play a little tight end, but I kind of know that I might have to play tackle in college, so it’s something I’m not going to say no too. I’ll do what ever it takes to help the team out.”
And that’s the type of attitude that you’re going to get with Hearvey. After two 2-8 seasons, he’s ready to do anything – and everything if he has to – to help his team turn that mark around this season.
“I think we’re coming together,” he said. “I hope we’re pretty good. I’ve been up here on the varsity two years in a row and we were 2-8 both years. We don’t want that to happen again.”
When the college coaches begin their calls today, Hearvey said he hopes to hear from his top three teams.
“I want to get calls from Arkansas, Kansas State and Missouri,” he said. “I’m going to visit Missouri and K-State during the season for one of their games. I also camped at Arkansas, and I thought it was pretty nice down there. It was your typical, normal campus, and I was really excited by what I saw.”
Hearvey does not have an offer at this point yet, but with his big frame finally playing his projected college position, there is little doubt that’s going to change.
