Richardson has a busy June ahead

Marlton (N.J.) Cherokee quarterback Demetrius Richardson is getting ready for summer. Without an offer in-hand to date, the 6-foot-4, 218-pounder is looking to change that by going on the camp circuit.
"I'm gearing up for camps this summer," he said. "I've got a schedule put together although it's not definite.

"I'm planning to go to Hofstra, Temple, Purdue, Penn State, Syracuse, Buffalo, Villanova, Virginia, Connecticut, Maryland and Boston College all in June."
How close are these colleges to offering?
'Most of them are on the edge of a scholarship," he said. "They want to see me at camp, to see how I perform. I think Temple, Penn State or Syracuse will be the first to offer. I feel they are the most interested in me and really like me. Coach Golden at Temple even pulled me aside when I was there for a junior day."
Plenty of schools are interested, but only a few are sticking out to Richardson at this time.
"Actually, a lot of the Division I-AA schools are including Hofstra, Villanova, James Madison and a few more," he said. "Most of those have seen I haven't gotten offers from the I-A schools and are attracted to me. I don't care where I go as long as I can get an education and play football."
The Jersey quarterback detailed what he is looking for in a college.
"First of all education is the most important," he said. "Distance is not really a problem for me because I like seeing new places. I also want a place they play good football and a coaching staff and team that feels like a family. I'd like a program that can take my game to the next level too."
