Richards has Pac-10 team on top

David Richards likes the campus, the coaching staff and the football program at Arizona and that's why the Wildcats are his top school. The Palmdale, Calif., athlete only had his feelings reinforced after visiting last weekend for Arizona's spring game.
"I had an extremely good time there and I'm very excited," Richards said. "I toured their facilities and they're awesome. I love how they spread the ball and passed it a lot in the spring game.

"They are on top of my list right now and I plan to take my official visit when they play USC."
Richards, who finished with 45 receptions for 846 yards and 10 touchdowns, has been offered by Arizona and Colorado State and said recently that Southern Cal, UCLA, Iowa, Purdue and San Diego State have been in contact.
Even though Arizona is the favorite for Richards, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect, he said a commitment is probably not forthcoming anytime soon.
He wants to wait it out, see where his recruitment goes and then make at least one more visit to Arizona when it plays the Trojans on Nov. 13. One of the main things that Richards likes about the Wildcats is their offense and how often they look for their wide receivers.
"It was real fun, real exciting," said Richards, who might go to Washington's summer camp. "I really felt like it was a comfortable place to be in and the coaching staff showed me a really good time there.
"I'm going to hold out until probably my official visit. I definitely want to make it back up there again."
