Rice picks up Houston OL
Klein, Texas offensive lineman Clay Hebert has verbally committed to Rice University for all the right reasons.
Hebert loves the new coaching staff, he loves the academics, but he loves the fact that his grandmother can see him play.

"No one knows this but I really like the fact that Rice is a couple miles away from my grandmother," Hebert said. "She hasn't missed a game of mine since pee-wee football. I'd like for her to be able to see me play in college."
Hebert comes from a college football lineage. His father played at North Texas and uncle played at the University of Texas.
"I went to their spring game and what stuck out the most to is that it's like family over there," he said. "I told the coaches that I wanted to commit and they were very excited. That fired me up.
"Even before they offered me, that was my number one school. When they offered me it was a matter of time."
