Rice leads for Texas DE

Waller, Texas, defensive end Trevor Barry has been leaning toward Rice for a while now and that's not changed one bit. The 6-foot-4, 211-pound two-star prospect continues to list the Owls at the top of his list.
"I'm pretty close to committing to Rice," Barry said.

"I mean I'm still going to take my time and make my decision. I'm not going to rush it. But they're one of my top choices. I'm just waiting to take the SAT one more time.
"The schools I've been keeping up with the most have been Rice, McNeese State and Kansas State."
Barry at this point isn't sure when he'll take visits to either games or official visits. He's starting to get a little more interest from other teams like North Texas and Arizona State.
"I want to visit Rice," he said. "Then I guess I want to see what Arizona State has to say. Then maybe North Texas, too."
Barry said he and his teammates have big goals for the 2007 season.
"We're setting goals for our offense to score over 24 points and hold them to a minimum rushing yards," he said. "My biggest goal is just to outwork my opponents."
