Revels has Big 12 frontrunner

Robert Revels made it clear this past weekend that Texas Tech is the frontrunner in his recruitment but that he still wants to take some other visits before making a decision.
The inside linebacker from Houston (Texas) John H. Reagan said he has already visited the Lubbock campus and he has a connection to the coaching staff so the Red Raiders look really strong at this point in his recruitment.

"I really like the coaches and I've been to the campus and toured the campus and everything," Revels said. "It's the Big 12 so I really like it.
"They have coach (David) Gibbs. He came from the University of Houston and I talked to him when he was at Houston so when he got there, they already offered me, so he talked to me even more."
So far, the 6-foot-3, 234-pound prospect has been offered by Texas Tech, UTSA, Tulsa and Texas State.
Revels said this past weekend at the IMG 7v7 West Regional in Redondo Beach, Calif., that Virginia, Missouri and Northwestern have also reached out recently.
As for a commitment, Revels said he still wants to take a few visits, consider all his options and then he could be ready to decide. Texas Tech looks best now and Revels said it's the favorite so far.
"I'm going to wait a little bit longer," Revels said.
"I want to see if any more schools come and I'm going to wait to visit the University of Tulsa. I haven't visited there yet. I want to visit the schools that have offered me."
