Isaiah Renfro already has two offers and the Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon wide receiver could be close to more.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound three-star prospect who caught 71 passes for 1,302 yards and 20 touchdowns in his junior season said Oregon is showing a whole lot more interest, and UCLA has reached out as well.
Renfro could be taking an unofficial visit to UCLA this weekend to see what the Bruins think of him, and the talks with Oregon continue. He's hopeful the Ducks might be close to an offer.
"I've been actually hearing a lot from Oregon lately," Renfro said. "UCLA is also reaching out and those are the top two that I've been hearing a lot from.
"UCLA wants me to come up for an unofficial and I think I'm doing that this weekend. I went to my old school (Wednesday) to release my transcripts so Oregon can evaluate me further. I would say I'm closer to an offer from Oregon than UCLA. I don't really know about UCLA yet, but my coach has been telling me Oregon is eager to offer so we'll see."
So far, the Chatsworth Sierra Canyon standout has offers from Utah and Washington State. The three-star is also hearing from some other Pac-12 programs, but said UCLA and Oregon are the most involved at this point.
Renfro said the two early offers will be considered throughout his recruitment because those programs jumped in first but it won't be the only factor as he makes his decision.
"I'm going to keep it in mind," Renfro said. "They were the ones who set it off. It won't weigh heavy into it, but I'll remember it."
