Renfro lands Big 10 interest

Isaiah Renfro was thrilled Michigan State got to play in the Rose Bowl.
It was his chance to check out the Spartans in person by going to watch their bowl game practice and he had a chance to meet with the coaching staff.

Michigan State has not offered yet but the 2015 wide receiver from Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon said the Spartans are showing a lot of interest. After seeing them in California recently, Renfro seems like he wants to hear more.
"I went to Michigan State's practice over break and I talked to Michigan State and BYU a lot," Renfro said.
"They seem really close to offering. They just have to figure out which side of the ball they want me to play. That's what Cal needed to figure out, too, whether it would be wide receiver or safety."
The Sierra Canyon standout finished with 71 receptions for 1,302 yards and 20 touchdowns in his junior season. He also finished with 55 tackles and an interception.
Renfro said he especially enjoyed meeting Michigan State's coaching staff. If the Spartans offer, the 2015 recruit seems like he'd be very interested.
"I like the whole coaching staff," Renfro said. "I met all of them and they seem great. It looks like a really nice place to be, too."
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound three-star prospect by Rivals.com has an offer from Utah so far in his recruitment. He said it's been relatively quiet with the Utes in recent weeks. Alabama has also been sending some recruiting mail.
