Renfree lands big honor, more offers

One of the quarterbacks we were really excited to see prior to the NIKE Camp at Stanford this past weekend was Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame signal caller Sean Renfree. We loved his film and after seeing him twice over the weekend, feel the Arizona native is definitely one of the top QBs in the region.
Renfree, 6-3, 200 pounds showed up at both the Elite 11 workout at Cal on Friday and the NorCal NIKE Camp on Saturday and was the most consistent thrower both days. He earned MVP honors at the QB position on Saturday and his stock is really starting to take off.

Renfree entered the camp with offers from Oregon State, Georgia Tech and Army and following the camp, picked up offers from Stanford and Arizona.
"It was great being out there throwing in front of all the college coaches," Renfree said. "I was pumped up and was excited at how I did.
"At the Elite 11, I thought I started off a little slow but then picked it up as the day went on. I still need to work on my feet and balance but I thought I threw some good balls both days."
On the recruiting front, Renfree is planning to make an early decision but will take a few more visits before doing so.
"I've already been to a lot of places," Renfree said. "I've checked out Colorado, Cal, Stanford, Arizona, Oregon State and Arizona State.
"I want go visit USC, Pete Carroll came by our school in the Spring and I would also like to check out Cal again. Right now, I'm really open to everyone and I'm going to wait to see who else shows me interest and offers before I really narrow things down.
"My goal is to commit by the end of June. Once I see all my offers, I might make some more visits if it's a school I haven't seen yet and then I should be ready to decide in June."
