AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – Reggie Hughes has already made his commitment to Arizona State. The next step is to try to convince other top prospects to join him in Tempe.

“I’ve been talking to Nikko (Hall), I’ve been talking to some guys on Bosco, I’ve been talking to Mission Viejo kids, just getting around and seeing who’s interested,” Hughes said after his Calabasas team beat Los Angeles Dorsey on Thursday night.

So no other official visits?

“Definitely not,” Hughes said. “I’m 100 percent Sun Devil. I’m a happy man. I’m happy where I committed.”

The four-star linebacker committed to Arizona State in June and he said there’s no chance he’s going to consider other schools.

Hughes found everything he wanted with the Sun Devils and has basically shut down his recruitment.

“What I saw out there were the facilities,” Hughes said. “The facilities were amazing. And then coaching-wise it was a great opportunity to learn from the best, guys who coached Clay Matthews and guys like that.

“Most importantly, playing time. They have a senior who’s leaving and I’m going to be there to take his spot if I work hard enough I could start as a freshman.”

Some programs are still giving chase to Hughes but he doesn’t seem interested at all. No other visits are going to happen and it looks like his commitment to the Sun Devils is as solid as ever.

“There are still schools trying to stay involved like Washington State, they hit me up once in a while, Oregon State hits me up once in a while but I’m 100 percent a Sun Devil,” Hughes said.
