Reevey sidelined with stress fracture

A player that has been drawing recent interest from many schools is multi-faceted athlete Maurice Reevey from Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy. His performance this season has been hampered by a nagging injury, but that hasn’t stopped college recruiters from lighting up his phone line.
“He is a big, lanky kid that can play tight end, running back, or linebacker,” Fork Union head coach John Shuman described Reevey and his appeal to coaches at the next level. “He is a good kid and a good player.”

Reevey stands 6-foot-3, weighs 225 pounds, and runs a 4.5 forty-yard dash, which makes him versatile on the field.
“He played lots of hoops all summer to stay in shape,” Coach Shuman commented. “He came in hoping to play, but his leg was bothering him. After two weeks we had it checked out and sure enough, it was a stress fracture.”
That stress fracture, while a hindrance to any athlete, has been even harder on Maurice under his particular set of circumstances.
“The marching environment (of a military academy) is hard with a stress fracture,” Coach Shuman explained. He still hopes to get his star athlete back before the end of the season, though."
With 10 offers already in hand, including North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia, Reevey has nothing left to prove. Fork Union would like to seem him on the field, just the same.
