Reese visits B1G rivals

Farmington, Mich., linebacker David Reese took his final two campus visits of the summer this past weekend, attending Ohio State's Friday Night Lights Camp on Friday and Michigan's BBQ on Sunday.
"Michigan went real well," Reese said. "It felt like home as soon as I walked in. I had a chance to talk with Coach (Brady) Hoke and Coach (Greg) Mattison. It just felt like I knew everybody there."

The southeast Michigan product has made several visits to Ann Arbor prior to Sunday, but found this experience to be unique.
"We did something new this time, the A-Maize-ing race, where they put us in teams with other recruits I got to bond with and get to know," Reese said. "I had Coach Manning as my leader and he's full of energy.
"The coaches from camp were with me the whole time and said they loved my performance at camp, liked how I moved. Basically they just encouraged me to keep on working and get ready for the season. They said these first couple games they really want to see."
Michigan is recruiting the 6-foot-1, 226-pound Reese as a middle linebacker. He worked out with the linebackers and coach Luke Fickell at Ohio State's camp on Friday as well.
"Coach (Kerry) Coombs came to our school twice, so I made sure I showed my face and performed there," Reese said. "I haven't been in communication with Coach Coombs (since the camp), but I think I performed well there. (Fickell) said I moved well and my hips were good."
The Friday Night Lights Camp, which was open to the public, was also a unique experience for the well-traveled Reese.
"The fans, that was crazy," Reese said. "To see those fans come out there for Friday Night Lights show they have a lot of passion for the school. It was a good experience and it was fun performing in their stadium."
Reese does plan to start visiting schools again this fall. He is working on a visit to Notre Dame for their Sept. 6 home game weekend, and expects to attend games at Michigan and Penn State as well.
