Redman takes a visit

Keyser, W.V. linebacker Taige Redman took an unofficial visit in the past couple weeks. The 6-foot-0, 201-pounder visited one of his two offers. Is he any closer to a decision?
"I visited Ohio the week before last," he said. "I went out there to visit the campus and talk to the coaches. I watched practice too.

"The whole program was real nice. I like how the campus was set up and how the program is run. All the coaches seem upbeat and I've got a chance to play there as a freshman. That is something I'm looking for. I'm not looking to sit for four years."
Redman continues to wait for word from his favorite.
"I'm really waiting on West Virginia to see what they are going to do," he said. "I was talking to the coach from there recently. They aren't 100% sure if they'll offer, but it sounds positive. I think they will, but they are waiting to find out from other players.
"If I could go to West Virginia that would be my No. 1 choice. It's so close to home and my mom. I think they are just waiting to see how I play this year."
A few other schools are also interested.
"Virginia Tech is starting to show interest, I'm also hearing from Toledo, Pittsburgh and Penn State. I have an offer from Marshall as well. They are definitely on the list."
Redman confirmed he has no plans to commit in the near future and assured he will wait until after the season.
