Redman has a favorite

Keyser, W.V. linebacker Taige Redman continues to hold two offers from Marshall and Ohio. The 6-foot-0, 211-pounder has visited a handful of camps in the past month. Is he on the verge of more scholarships?
"I went to Marshall, Ohio and West Virginia," he said. "West Virginia was the 27th through the 29th. It went really well. I worked out with the linebacker coach and he liked what he saw. He seemed very interested in me. Now I'm just waiting for an offer."

What about the two schools that offered?
"Ohio is very nice," he said. "I really like it there. The coaching staff is one of a kid. All the guys really make you feel welcome. I went there and could see myself playing there. It's my type of atmosphere and they are real friendly, everything is close together.
"Marshall was real nice. It was my first time in Huntington. I expected it to be totally different. It's real nice and the campus is beautiful too. I got along with the coaching staff and Jerry Smith took me under his wing."
The two-star prospect may take a couple more visits in the near future.
"I may go to to Toledo and possibly Pittsburgh."
Does Redman like anybody?
"I'm really leaning towards West Virginia. It's close to home and not too far from family. They can watch me play. It's not a hassle and I like the atmosphere in Morgantown, it's like no other."
Redman posted 80 tackles, 10 sacks, one interception and two touchdowns on defense last year on his way to all-state honors as a junior.
