Redd having big season

With offers from Boston College and Virginia already in hand, Class of 2010 running back Silas Redd is in a pretty good position.
Redd has helped Stamford (Conn.) King & Low Heywood Thomas to a 7-0 start. He has been playing on a high ankle sprain which has limited his production, but he is still putting up good numbers.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound back has run the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds. On the year he has 98 carries for 931 yards and nine touchdowns, and says he is happy with his team's progress thus far.
While he is only a junior and isn't sure how the recruiting process will play out he has had plenty of opportunities to check out some of the schools recruiting him.
"I've been to see Rutgers-Fresno State, UConn-Virginia and Boston College-Rhode Island," he explained. "I'm attending the Boston College-Notre Dame game this weekend and I plan on going to the Duke-UNC game on Thanksgiving weekend. All the games I've been to so far have been a blast.
"I'm mostly hearing from Boston College, Virginia, UNC, UConn, Rutgers, Penn State, Nebraska, Stanford, TCU, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Duke and Michigan State."
Redd went on to say his four favorites are Penn State, Boston College, UNC and Rutgers.
