Redd enjoys Blacksburg

Elizabethton, Tenn. defensive end Vince Redd took his second official visit this past weekend and came away impressed with Blacksburg and Virginia Tech.
"It was nice, each new school is exciting and getting to meet all the players is cool," said the 6-foot-7, 240-pounder. "I was hosted by Jason Lallis and Shawn Witten is from my school so I got to know some people."

Redd, who visited Virginia last weekend, saw the Hokies defense dominate the UVA offense and came away impressed.
"They showed me how I'd be used in their defense and how much they like my size and height," he said. "I also think I could play right away on their basketball team as well. Both Virginia and Virginia Tech were very nice places and both have a lot going for them."
Redd will take a visit to Tennessee next in either late December or early January and will also visit South Carolina in January as well. Arkansas and Ole Miss will battle for his final visit.
"I just want to go where I feel most comfortable," he said. "I felt good at both UVA and Tech so it will be hard."
Redd said that coaches from Virginia will be in on Tuesday and Tennessee will be coming later in the week.
