Red Wolves lead for Kimberlin

The first program to offer Josh Kimberlin of Southern Baptist (Miss.) has never wavered in its desire to land the senior outside linebacker. And that is one of the main reasons Arkansas State currently is the team to beat for his services.
"I definitely feel like I'd be satisfied going there," Kimberlin said.

To date, the 6-feet-1, 195-pounder holds four offers -- Arkansas State, Memphis, Central Arkansas and Samford. He has been to Arkansas State, Memphis and Samford for games this season, along with Ole Miss, which also is showing interest.
"Definitely, the Arkansas State and Ole Miss games stand out," Kimberlin said. "The Memphis and Samford ones had a different kind of atmosphere compared to Arkansas State and Ole Miss. At Arkansas State, the atmosphere was awesome. I had never seen the campus. I got to see it and it was great. I fell in love with it."
According to Kimberlin, he "probably" will take officials to Arkansas State and Central Arkansas. He isn't yet sure what other trips he will make, though Ole Miss almost certainly would get an official should it offer.
"If I had an offer from Ole Miss, I'd have to sit down and compare Arkansas State vs. Ole Miss," Kimberlin said.
In five games played, Kimberlin has 32 tackles with two forced fumbles. He hopes his performance this year will lead to more offers.
"I think I'm going to wait [to commit] until after the season," Kimberlin said. "I feel like things will open up."
