Rector not rushing decision

Christian Rector had a great junior season and he has quickly emerged with a handful of offers in the last few weeks.
The latest one has come from USC and the Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola defensive end said he's definitely interested in the Trojans.

It's still in the early stages of his recruitment but Rector said he's going to take a really close look at USC and some believe it could be the frontrunner.
"They've been by the school and I know my coaches have been in contact with them," Rector said. "They were watching my film so they decided to offer me.
"It was big. I went down there and I visited the campus and the facilities. It's a pretty big step for me."
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound prospect said he has not had much interaction with the new USC coaching staff but that could be the next step as his recruitment continues to pick up.
Rector, who is also receiving interest from Penn State and Boston College, said he plans to not rush a commitment and wants to consider all the schools recruiting him.
With offers now from USC, UCLA, Oregon State and Colorado and more interest coming in all the time the Los Angeles Loyola standout said he doesn't want to make a decision too fast.
USC might be tough to beat but Rector isn't giving away too many hints this early.
"I'm going to weigh out all my options and I'm going to sit down with my coaches and make a decision," Rector said. "I haven't really focused on any of that yet."
