Recruitment intensifying for R100 DB

Rivals100 defensive back Marcus Lewis had an excellent showing over the weekend at the Washington D.C. Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour. On the same day the Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga star declared Florida his leader but his recruitment is starting pick back up now that the spring evaluation period has started.
"Coaches from Miami came by the school," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Lewis. "I talked to a lot of schools also. I talked to Virginia Tech, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio State and some others. A lot more schools will be coming up next week."

Three schools that made Lewis a priority early in the spring evaluation period are Florida, Virginia Tech and Ohio State.
"I talked to coach T-Rob and it was really big," he said. "We had a good conversation. He thinks Florida is the school for me and thinks that is my best fit. He also said he thinks I can come in and make an impact my freshman year. I had a great time when I was down there and I like talking to him.
"Virginia Tech coaches still recruit me," Lewis said. "They send me messages on social media and write me. We still communicate a lot.
"Ohio State is recruiting me hard," he said. "I talked to coach Meyer these past few weeks and he had some good things to say. Coach Ash and coach Johnson are coming down next week."
Lewis has mentioned that he wants to visit Clemson and Notre Dame.
