Recruiting starts to pick up for Hornyak

Woodberry Forest (Va.) Woodberry Forest School cornerback J.T. Hornyak holds one offer. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is looking far and wide for more interest and it is starting to come back as the offseason is picking up.
"I just finished my highlight tape on Wednesday and I emailed it out to a bunch of coaches," he said. "Most of the coaches have told me it is pretty good film, they are giving it to their positional coaches who will evaluate it more.

"I'm actually more excited with everything going on as something might come out of it soon."
Who's interested?
"I've heard the most from Delaware," he said. "I've heard from Hawaii, Virginia is coming to my school this week. I'm hearing from NC State a bit and Tennessee sent an email. Penn State has sent something and New Hampshire called."
At the moment, Towson is still the lone offer for Hornyak.
Is he starting to think about visits?
"I'm trying to go up to Delaware in the next couple weeks to see one of their playoff games on an unofficial."
As Hornyak was mostly avoided on defense this season, only pulling down one interception. He still earned first team all-prep.
"No one threw at me," he said. "My coach put me on the best receiver every game and there wasn't much more I could do," he said. "I think I did significantly get faster and stronger, but I would have liked to get more balls thrown at me."
