Recruiting starts for Ohio WR

Cleveland Heights, Ohio has a handful of Division I recruits coming out in 2007 including wide receiver Jerome Royal. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is a solid prospect that finished his junior year by earning all-conference honors.
"The thing about Jerome is that he is so fast and has very good hands," Cleveland Heights head coach Mike Jones said. "His release from the line of scrimmage is great and I can't say it enough, he has unbelievable speed."

The wide receiver prospect is not only a talented player, but also a good character person.
"He is a real good kid that has a solid background and support system," he said. "He is a very competitive person that is bright, smart and has a wonderful worth ethic. The other great thing about Jerome is that he is a team player. He'll do whatever it takes and be a great pickup for someone."
Royal hauled in just 12 receptions for 370 yards and five touchdowns last season for Cleveland Heights.
Currently a handful of schools have started to contact Royal.
"He is getting a lot of mail from the MAC schools particularly around this area including Akron, Toledo, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and more," he said. "I don't know if he has any favorites at this time, but I could see him definitely being interested in staying relatively close to home near his family."
In May, the receiver prospect plans to head to a combine at Browns stadium.
