Recruiting rising for 2013 OG Blankenship

Offensive guard Cole Blankenship out of Mocksville (N.C.) Davie is seeing his recruitment pick up. The 2013 recruit has a number of colleges interested up and down the East Coast.
"Things are going really well," he said. "I've been on a few unofficial visits to Duke and Wake Forest. They went really well. Duke was pretty good and Wake Forest is showing a lot of interest. Their coaches seem to like me a lot."

Lots of other schools are looking too.
"I'm getting a lot of interest from in-state, Wake Forest, Duke and then also the whole ACC, Virginia has shown a lot, Virginia Tech not as much, Alabama and more."
Is anyone close to offering?
"There hasn't been a whole lot of talk of that yet, but they are all definitely interested."
The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder plans to head out on more trips this fall.
"I'll probably be going to South Carolina and Clemson, they are showing a bit of interest too."
Blankenship maintains no favorites though.
"Recruiting should pick up a lot after the season, so I'm waiting to see how that pans out. I just want to see who offers me and then make a decision from there."
Blankenship and Davie have played nine games and are out to a 7-2 record.
"We're doing really good," he said. "I've been playing really well. I'm just playing on offense and I've gotten a lot better, I'm a lot faster, stronger and have gained a little bit of weight."
