Recruiting rises for Nwosu

College interest is growing for 6-foot-4, 217-pound tight end Daniel Nwosu. The Lanham (Md.) Duval prospect is garnering looks from across the East Coast already.
"My coach has talked to Maryland, I think I'm supposed to go to a junior day in March there," he said. "I'm also receiving interest from Rutgers, Boston College and Virginia."

Does Nwosu like anybody?
"I like Maryland and Virginia a lot, those two really stand out," he said. "I would also like to learn more about Rutgers.
"I just like the system at Maryland and how all the players out there are so good and fast. I could go in there and they make you a better player. I know some players at Virginia and know it's a good system. I need to learn more about Rutgers."
Meanwhile, Nwosu is hoping a few other schools pick up interest too.
"I hope probably Virginia Tech comes in," he said. "I just want to learn more about them and their system and how it works, it seems like it'd fit me."
A strong 3.5 GPA student, what is the Maryland prospect looking for in a college?
"Mainly, I want a good school," he said. "I want to go there and get a degree in medicine or something. I want a winning program.
Nwosu grew up in Maryland, however his parents are from Nigeria.
Meanwhile, this past season Nwosu had a strong year despite playing in a Wing T offense.
"It went well," he said. "I got a lot of sacks and started on offense too.
"I improved a lot from my sophomore year. I got stronger and caught more passes."
