Recruiting rises for Jersey QB

Quarterback Quadir Pendleton out of East Orange, N.J. claims one verbal offer to date. The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder is quickly picking up interest as numerous other colleges are monitoring him.
"I finished up my junior year with 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions," he said. "I think I improved a lot this year on reading the field and I ran more than last year."

The big year has resulted in even greater interest.
"I have a verbal offer from Oregon," he said. "Pittsburgh and Virginia are showing a lot of interest. I'm also talking to Alabama, Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State and NC State."
One school sticks out for Pendleton at this point.
"The school I like is Miami," he stated. "It's hot down there and I like Miami. It's a nice environment and I've heard Rutgers offensive coordinator is supposed to be down there next year."
With interest already picking up, what does Pendleton want in a college?
"I just want a good education, I'm looking at sports medicine."
Pendleton plans on attending a few junior days coming up and visiting some of his favorites during the spring and summer.
